Our whole philosophy fits in a single line: nature comes first. Most places sell you things to do; we'drather offer a state to be in.
The buildings stay calm on purpose — warm wood, deep sage, soft lowlight — so nothing competes with the forest outside the window.
Comfort is here to serve theexperience, never to become it. Quiet, modern, in nature, timeless.What that means in practice is the forest without the hardship. The quiet, the fire and the stars areyours; everything that usually gets in the way has quietly been taken care of, so there is nothing toarrange and nothing to solve — only the day in front of you.
Each cabin keeps its own character andits own measure of solitude, some with a banya close by. Comfort here is honest: the lakes aren't forswimming, but the water is a fine place to sit. Everything considered, nothing dressed up.
And then there is the evening. By day this is wild Appalachian forest; at dusk the whole place quietlychanges. Restored buildings strung with light, old black park lanterns brought back to life, a glowamong the trees until midnight.
Wild by day, warm and a little mysterious by night — that is thefeeling the whole place is built around.
